As changes are made to the employment requirements under federal contracts by actions of the administration or congress, Pillar updates its guide in a timely fashion. The changes (or possible changes being considered) for the current year are reflected below with some commentary on each. The OFCCP issued not 1 but 2 5 Directives in one month – 2 offering clarifications of existing policies regarding religious liberty and compensation discrimination analysis, 1 announcing a recognition program for contractors who achieve exemplary equal opportunity results (with a follow up notice in October of the creation of the Excellence in Disability Inclusion Award for contractor establishments with AAPs that demonstrate effective inclusion practices related to individuals with disabilities), and 2 announcing enforcement methodology changes or proposed changes.read more
On July 11, 2018, the DOL WHD updated the SCA Health and Welfare benefit rate to $4.48 / hour in Wage Determinations for contracts made, amended or renewed on or after July 11, 2018.read more
